RAISING AWARENESS
RADIO CAMPAIGN La indiferencia termina contigo (Indifference ends with you) 1/25
Indifference Ends With You” was a social-awareness radio campaign I conceived, wrote, and produced to challenge passive attitudes toward critical social and humanitarian issues. Through a series of short storytelling pieces, the campaign explored themes such as poverty, disease, illiteracy, self-centered leadership, and spiritual apathy, encouraging listeners to move beyond awareness and become active agents of positive change in their communities. The campaign was built in September 2007 around a unifying message: while many of society’s problems may seem distant or beyond our control, indifference is a personal choice—and meaningful change begins when individuals choose to act.
One of the most meaningful outcomes of this campaign emerged several years after it aired. Members of our team visited Argentina and discovered that a number of listeners in a local community had been deeply influenced by the campaign’s message. Motivated to move beyond awareness and take action, they began discussing the needs of a group of abandoned children who faced significant barriers to adoption because they were over twelve years old. What started as conversations among concerned individuals gradually grew into a coordinated community effort and eventually led to the formation of “Más Manitos,” an organization dedicated to supporting and advocating for these children. Seeing a communication campaign inspire tangible action and contribute to the creation of a lasting community initiative was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career and a powerful reminder of the potential of storytelling to drive meaningful change.

Medical Center
Client: Bermudez Medical Group
Duration: 0:23 minute
Platform: YouTube
Miami is home to a large Hispanic community, and a segment of this population arrived in the country later in life and does not yet fully understand the language. Consequently, access to medical care in Spanish is something they value highly. This advertisement was created for a Hispanic-serving clinic; it features an older woman—the clinic’s target demographic—who has just visited the doctor. When a younger friend asks her what ailment she has, she hesitates and eventually admits that she didn’t actually understand what the doctor told her. The spot concludes with a local artist stating: “At Bermudez Medical Group, we speak Spanish.”

Plumbing
Client: Dr. Pipe
Duration: 0:19 minutes
Platform: YouTube
Calling a plumber can bring surprises; that’s why, at Dr Pipe, we pay attention to every detail—from our first impression upon arrival to the comprehensive care of your home.
Dr Pipe: Leak detection without destruction.
In this advertisement for a local business in Miami, I caricatured one of the fears potential customers face when calling a plumber: the apprehension of opening their front door to a stranger. The goal was to build trust by showcasing a professional appearance, friendliness, technical equipment, and the capability to resolve plumbing issues.
This is a piece combining animation and video that I wrote, produced, and directed; I filmed it on a DSLR, performed the voiceover, and edited it.
